Grits is good!

Ramblings from David

It was supposed to snow today, and freezing rain was supposed to fall, so I stayed home until 11:00 waiting for it to happen. It didn’t and I had to go to work!!! I was planning on playing guitar and then going back to bed, getting up and studying so I could post to my other blog on the book of Daniel in the bible (ps348.wordpress.com) and just having a relaxing day. It wound up sucking wind. I got to work and had to deal with an idiot that works for me and THEN having to go to a meeting until 4:00!!! ARRRRGGGGGHHH!!!!

But, you know what? I have a job. A good job that I make a more than comfortable living at. I have a big corner office in a somewhat prestigious location. I have a 4 bedroom three bath house with central heating and air conditioning, a motorcycle, a BMW 525i, a hot tub, a 47″ LCD TV, a music studio, 14 guitars, three amplifiers, a digital recording studio, three dogs, two computers, two tempurpedic beds, an iPod, two refrigerators and a freezer with food in them, I have clothes, I have shoes, I have co-workers that appreciate and respect me, I have friends that love me, and above all, I have the confidence that when all this crap I own burns in a fervent heat at the end of days, I’ll be with the Lord Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father because my sins were paid for on a rough, heavy wooden cross on a hill called Calvary about 2,000 years ago.

There are people in this world that don’t have a roof over their heads. There are people in this world that are sleeping outside in this miserable weather WISHING that they had what I have. There are people in this world that won’t earn as much money in their entire lives as I make in a month. And it makes me ashamed…

I’m sorry Lord for my grumbling. Please forgive me.

Hey! David it sounds like you have so much stuff that our newly elected President would love to come over to your house and redistribite some of those things. After all who needs 14 guitars? It dosen’t matter that you probably worked quite a bit to have them. My friend you are blessed, may you always have that .
